In certain circumstances the government will issue funds to schools to help pupils catch up with learning following periods of disruption. At Burnley High School, we believe that every child, regardless of background or social deprivation, should have equal opportunities for success. As such, we use Catch Up Premium funding to overcome any barriers to achievement for our year seven pupils who did not achieve the expected standard in reading or maths at the end of key stage 2.

“I love BHS because it really does feel like a family. All staff and students know each other, are extremely supportive of one another and show amazing levels of respect throughout the school. There really isn’t another school like it!”
