Burnley High School is the best high school ever. If you get lost (the school is not really that big) ask for some help from the teachers who are in the hallway, they will help you. You will love the BHS community. Trust me.

One thing I love about BHS is how fun the lessons are. As a new Year 7, I would say come to BHS because I have learnt so many new things that I never learnt at primary school. BHS for life!

Moving to high school isn’t easy but all of the new year 7 students and the teachers will support you. Trust me it’s not as bad as you think.

My transition was really good because I got to meet really nice teachers. If you are scared just know it will be fine. I was scared too but when you get settled in you will be completely fine.

My transition to BHS has been amazing! All of the teachers are nice and it’s a really good school. I think it is a great school and they really do have the best things here. Also, because it is a smaller school it’s way better.

Transition day can feel a bit scary and overwhelming but when you meet the teachers they always make you feel welcomed. BHS everyday!

Coming to Burnley High was an amazing idea. The teachers are really kind and the lessons are very fun.

I know that you might be scared but don’t be. Just treat everybody like you want to be treated yourself.

I get how most of you feel, scared to come to high school – I was the same! After your first week you will love it. I promise you it’s not the end of the world. If you are scared come up to me and my friendship group, we would love to have you there.

Dear future year 7’s. You should definitely come to Burnley High School. Every day of the week there is amazing food. You will get so much help off your teachers so don’t be afraid to ask for help. Don’t be naughty and then you won’t get in trouble. If you get lots of positive points you get rewards.

Ever since coming to Burnley High School it feels like a family. I’ve made lots of new friends. Staff here are so kind too.

When I first joined Burnley High I was the only one that came from my primary school. I didn’t know anyone here but I soon made lots of friends. I also thought I would get lost but after a few weeks I already knew my way around.

At Burnley High School we are family. Everyday we strive to be ambitious, resilient, respectful and responsible. I really love it here at Burnley High School.
